Anita Devi creates a safe space for students to learn and develop their yoga practice. She also incorporates principles of the Yoga Sutras and Ayurveda into lessons to lift your energy and spirit.
Hi, are you busy and stressed out finding no time for exercise or relaxation. Do you think Yoga is only for flexible, slim athletic types? I completely understand as I felt this way for over 25 years whilst juggling being a busy mum and working full time as a lawyer in Soho, London always trying to diet and squeeze in exercise ( yoga, gym etc) yet failing. Then sadly both of my healthy beautiful parents died within days of each other of Covid. I felt so lost and sad on every level - in mind, in body and soul. Losing them made me realise that life is fragile and precious and it is so important to look after those things. I also started to wonder more about ‘who am I’: the soul, our purpose in life and happiness. Then one day yoga ‘found me‘ and literally saved me! I found an advert for yoga teacher training and took the plunge and did It, all whilst still working as a full time lawyer, being a mum and grieving- it was tough but the best thing I ever did. I trained as yoga teacher with Bryan at Sadhana Yoga school learning that yoga is actually accessible for all and is the best way to harmonise body, mind and spirit. I teach authentic yoga ( Hatha and Vinyasa) true to its origins moving away from the trendy gymnastic poses shown on social media, and I incorporate Ayurveda and Yoga Sutra philosophy into each lesson.
